compute the neutral axis with given curvature and strain a top or at bottom

Parameters:

  • edge_strains (EdgeStrains) – edge-strains to compute

  • starts_top (bool) –

    which edge-strain is to be used for computing the neutral axis

    • True: edge-strain at top

    • False: edge-strain at bottom

Returns:

neutral-axis given the chosen edge-strain (top or bottom)
